Consequently, the company made the strategic decision to relocate from Druten to a newer, spacious, and automated warehouse in Wijchen, ensuring the fulfillment of customer promises and facilitating further business growth.
The Challenge:
Moving to a new warehouse presented Molco with various challenges. Firstly, the picking operation had to be carefully planned to ensure customers could still collect their orders within 20 minutes. Thus, a system prioritizing orders was imperative. Additionally, despite increased stock and variety, optimizing logistics processes and reducing handling was crucial. Lastly, aligning warehouse setup with sustainability policies was essential.
