With perfect timing before the upcoming financing round, we received the great news that our material RECOU and the entire process for producing dimensionally stable bodies are now protected at European level. 🌾
Patent protection of our material and our technology is of great importance for our medium and long-term scaling model, in which we want to gain decentralized production and licensing partners so that production sites for our material can be created wherever suitable waste materials arise and fragile goods need to be protected for transport.
A few years ago, we therefore started the German patent application for our innovative packaging material and then took care of the European follow-up application on time. After a long and sometimes really tough phase of back and forth, during which arguments and different points of view were exchanged, we were finally able to convince the examiners of the patentability of RECOU with the help of our esteemed patent attorney Daniel Engelen. We have finally been granted the European Patent Office’s intention to grant our European patent application (EP000003865422). 🥳
Over the next few weeks we now have time to determine exactly in which European markets we would like to register the protection.
